An international conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli was held in Turkiye

On July 11, 2023, at the headquarters of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in Ankara, an international scientific conference was held on the topic “Makhtumkuli Fragi and the literature of the Turkic world”, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkiye together with the TURKSOY.

The conference was attended by the Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Rayev, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries and international organizations, deputies, scientists and cultural figures, heads of leading universities, teachers and students, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, as well as media workers.

The event was attended by the Turkmen delegation headed by the director of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Makhtumkuli of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan D.Orazsahedov.

Within the framework of the scientific forum, an exhibition of books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, works by Magtymguly Fragi, monographs, books, manuals and scientific articles was organized for the participants of the meeting.

The conference was held with a general session and four plenary sessions. The speakers who spoke at the conference spoke about the poet's work and his contribution to the treasury of universal spiritual values.

At the final session, the results of the conference were summed up, it was unanimously recognized that the forum made a significant contribution to the deepening and development of international scientific and cultural ties.

At the end of the event, participants and guests of the conference were offered Turkmen national dishes.
