Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were held in the People's Republic of China
On June 23-25, 2018 Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were held in the People's Republic of China. The creative action was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Beijing.
The event was attended by the representatives of government and public institutions of the People's Republic of China, the capital administration, research institutes, cultural figures, heads and staff of diplomatic missions and international organizations, official delegations of Shandong, Shaanxi, Qinghai, and Turkmen students studying in Beijing universities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the action, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of China Yu Qun emphasized that the Days of Turkmen Culture are vivid evidence of the activation of friendly relations between China and Turkmenistan, historically linked by the Great Silk Road.
The gala concert on the occasion of the opening of the Days of Culture introduced the Chinese audience to the best works of Turkmen music culture, dance traditions, art of bakhshi, performing skills of vocalists.
On the second day of the action an exhibition of works of decorative and applied art and museum values of Turkmenistan was opened in the exhibition pavilion of the Central Library of the Chinese capital. On the same day, a round table was held with the participation of members of the Turkmen delegation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, as well as representatives of China's creative intelligentsia. During the meeting, the importance of strengthening and expanding humanitarian ties between the peoples of the two countries was noted.
Within the framework of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan, the premiere of the film "At-Myrat" in the Chinese language was held. The film production allowed the residents of the friendly country to learn a lot of interesting things about the Turkmen horse breeding traditions, conducted under the personal patronage of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a large-scale work to preserve the purity of the breed and increase the number of Akhal-Teke horses.
The Days of Turkmen Culture in China concluded a joint concert of art masters of the two countries.
