PRESENTATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL RALLY "AMUL-KHAZAR 2018" WAS HELD IN ASTRAKHAN
Recently, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan (Russian Federation) held a presentation of the International rally "Amul-Khazar 2018" that is to be held in Turkmenistan on September 9-15, 2018.
The presentation was attended by Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan G.Agamuradov, Minister of Sport of the Astrakhan region M.Fidurov, Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) A.Bayramov, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Astrakhan O.Kolomin, officers of the Consulates of Kazakhstan and Iran, participants of the rally-raid "Silk Road 2018", teachers and students of the higher educational institutions of the Astrakhan region, as well as representatives of local media.
During the presentation, the participants were informed about the foreign and domestic policy pursued by the Turkmen leadership aimed at the further development of sport and transport as an integral factor in sustainable development of economic ties. An example of a unified position of Turkmenistan and Russia on this international agenda is the holding these days in Astrakhan of the International rally-raid "Silk Road - 2018", as well as the forthcoming International rally "Amul- Khazar 2018 " which is to be held in September this year in Turkmenistan.
In their speeches, the members of the Turkmen delegation stressed that today Turkmenistan is becoming the most important transport hub of the region and a major international logistics center due to the advantageous geographical position and constructive foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan, which puts forth current proposals for cooperation with foreign states and takes consistent steps for their practical implementation.
Thus, on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, 2018 is held under the motto "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road", within the framework of which a number of large-scale transport projects are realized, including the opening of the international seaport in Turkmenbashi in May 2018. Also in the first half of 2018, at the initiative of the Turkmen side, resolutions were adopted at the United Nations aimed at further development of cycling, as well as encouraging the protection of cultural heritage along the Great Silk Road in order to promote universal respect for cultural rights.
