Turkmenistan and the State of Israel held political consultations in Ashgabat
On August 7, 2018, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State of Israel had been held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The delegation of the Israeli side was headed by Alexander Ben-Zvi, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel.
In accordance with the agenda of the consultations, the parties considered issues of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in all spheres, in particular, in regional issues, in the political and trade and economic fields of interaction. The sides noted the growing level of partnership and exchanged views on the possibility of expanding mutually acceptable cooperation in such directions as innovations, know-how and technologies.
During the talks, issues of further deepening of bilateral relations were discussed. In particular, the sides considered issues of cooperation within the framework of the international organizations and mutual support of the initiatives of each other.
Speaking about the relations in the trade-economic area, the sides singled out the oil and gas and agricultural industries, highlighting the advantageous location of Turkmenistan and the country's natural resources.
After the end of the bilateral political consultations, the parties stressed the imminent important date - the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and discussed the preparation and organization of events in honor of the holiday.
