The President of Turkmenistan congratulates compatriots on National Turkmen Horse Holiday

“Our wind-like horses are national pride and great value, which was created throughout the centuries. That is why big attention is paid t development of horse breeding and equestrian sports in our country during independence period. Noble traditions of our ancestors are revived, Turkmen horse breeding art is brought up to new levels”, - congratulation message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says.

Our nations, which has brought up the horses to the level of sacred thing, used to decorate horses with fancy things, gold and silver horse harnesses. These wonderful traditions of ancestors are successfully continued in modern jewellery. Being top event of our celebrations, equestrian games of horse riders leave unforgettable impression of compatriots and foreign guests, - the message highlights.

Turkmen leader highlights that the government makes all conditions and wide opportunities for improvement of glory of ahalteke horses as well as for development of horse breeding art and equestrian sports. Close cooperation has been established with different world countries for these purposes.

“We also pay special attention to training of qualified specialists for the industry. We open special training centres for training of professional horse breeders, coaches and jockeys. I am firmly confident that open arena, which was built in Ashgabat Equestrian Complex for show jumping competitions, would give strong impulse to development of equestrian sport in the country.

The government would continue rendering big support to development of national horse breeding and equestrian sports, exchange of practice with the world countries in this direction, beneficial efficient cooperation, improvement of working and living conditions of personnel of this sphere.

Our beautiful horses, which have been bred from the old times in Turkmen land and become global value, are one of the most elite pedigree breeds of the world. Ahalteke horses, which are distinguished with its loyalty, speed and beauty, have become a pride of the nation. Friendship, dedicated relations between people and horses are widely highlighted in our beautiful classic works.
