A video conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality and the development and intensification of foreign economic activities was held in Turkey
On May 13, 2020, a video conference was held under the chairmanship of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, Head of Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) Nail Olpak, the Chairman of the Turkmen-Turkish Business Council Khalil Avci and its members. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey, the Consul General in Istanbul and representatives of the Embassy.
At the meeting the sides discussed the events to be held in Turkmenistan and abroad in 2020, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality and the declaration of 2020 as the Year of "Turkmenistan - Home of Neutrality"
During the conference, attention was paid to the development of the country's foreign economic activities on a program basis in connection with the "Programme of the Development of Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan for 2020-2025", intensification of the fruitful mutually beneficial relations with foreign countries, international organizations, including international financial and economic institutions and progress in this area.
During the meeting, was discussed the development of cooperation in the transport sector of the two countries, in particular, the effective use of the potential of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, transit transport corridors and air routes to improve trade relations through those corridors.
At the video conference the parties also discussed the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Turkmen-Turkish trade relations, as well as the measures taken in our country to prevent the disease.
