Ankara hosted events dedicated to the Day of workers of culture and art, and poetry of Makhtumkuli Fragi

On June 27, 2018, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey organized a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fragi in the park "Turkmenistan" of the city of Ankara, dedicated to the Day of the workers of culture and art, and also the poetry of Makhtumkuli Fragi, celebrated in the year of "Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road".

Representatives of the diplomatic missions, working in Ankara, the heads of the Turkey-Turkmenistan Friendship Society, representatives of a number of public organizations of Turkey, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), representatives of some companies operating in Turkmenistan, as well as mass media, literary scholars of the higher educational institutions of the capital and Turkmen students studying in Ankara participated at flower-laying ceremony.

The Director of the International Cultural Relations Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Ramazan Djokjevit and the officers of this ministry took part in the flower-laying ceremony as guests of honor from the Republic of Turkey.

At the end of the flower-laying ceremony, the participants made presentations in which they noted that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, national culture and art are successfully developing and improving, and they underlined the work which is being done on propagating the creative heritage of the outstanding classic of Turkmen literature Mahtumkuli Fragi at home and abroad.
