A meeting with an Afghan delegation took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
On November 13, 2018 the head of the company “Ghazanfar Construction, Road Work Rail Way Construction Material P.CO” of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit. During the visit, a bilateral meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
According to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, a mosque for 500 places will be built in the township of Akina of the Andkhoy district of the Faryab province of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the regular humanitarian assistance of Turkmenistan sent to Afghanistan. They also exchanged views on the work on the construction of a mosque in the township of Akina.
At the end of the meeting, a contract was signed for the construction of a mosque between the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (the city of Mazar-i-Sharif) and the Afghan company “Ghazanfar Construction, Road Work Rail Way Construction Material P.CO”.
The document envisages the commencement of construction works in November 2018 and the commissioning of the fully functional mosque in December 2020.
