Ceremony of laying wreaths at the monument to Magtymguly-Fraghi was held in Ankara

On June 26, 2020, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey organized a flower laying ceremony at the monument to the great poet and thinker in the “Turkmenistan” park of Ankara on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the Day of Workers of Culture and Arts of Turkmenistan and the Day of Magtymguly-Fraghi Poetry.

Adviser to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Yalcin Topchu, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alparslan, Head of the Central Asia and Caucasus Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ali Kaan Orbai, Head of the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ashkyn Chakmak, Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Bilal Chakiji attended the ceremony as the guests of honour.

The deputies of the Turkish Parliament, representatives of several ministries and departments of Turkey, Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Algeria, Moldova and Georgia, diplomats of several diplomatic missions in Ankara, members of the Turkish-Turkish Friendship Society, representatives of some Turkish companies operating in Turkmenistan, representatives of Anatolian news agency, TRT channel and other media, literature critics of universities, Turkmen students studying in Ankara attended the event.

During the ceremony, presentations were made by the participants in which the creative heritage of a prominent representative of classical Turkmen literature, the great thinker Magtymguly-Fraghi, was presented and the work carried out to popularize the poet’s creative heritage was presented, and it was also emphasized that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, our national culture and art have been raised to the pinnacles of the development.
